Academy Award® winner Emma Stone (“La La Land”) stars in Disney’s “Cruella,” an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (“Howards End,” “Sense & Sensibility”). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

Disney’s “Cruella” is directed by Craig Gillespie (“I Tonya”) from a screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. It was produced by Andrew Gunn (“Freaky Friday”), Marc Platt (“Mary Poppins Returns”) and Kristin Burr (“Christopher Robin”), with Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff and Glenn Close serving as executive producers. Two-time Oscar®- winning costume designer Jenny Beavan (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “A Room with a View”) creates the dazzling and imaginative costumes, which take on a life of their own.

  1. Thank you Emma Stone, for allowing me to forget Glenn Closes’ horendous version of the character. You were dead on! You weren’t over the top, silly, cartoonish (and by that I mean, your version was an insult to the animated film), or acted cringe worthy. It’ll be hard for me to watch the orig8nal version as yes, they did a damn good job in making Disney’s biggest villain of all a character we rooted for by the end. I felt like crying when the Baroness asked to hug you, and Cruella got all teary eyed, but hey prepared at the same time, when it seemed as though Cruella almost fell for the war th her mother finally showed her, and was touched that she looked like she wanted to get to know her daughter. I know talk of a sequel is already in the works, but the movie was so perfect I just hope they don’t rush into it. Disney sequels, I hate to say it, are usually garbage. I tried watching 102 Dalmatians the other day and had to shit that crap off after painfully watching Glenn close ruin one of my favorite villains one last time!

  2. What a great movie!
The school part was supposed to be longer though, and with more emphasis on the bully kid. That was my only disappointment😔
I wish they made a short film, an extended cut, or a mini series with young Cruella.

  3. it had lots of potential but was bound by the pg rating and lazy cash grab mentality, other than that, the outfits and sets and acting were chefs kiss but i really wish they took more of a joker approach rather than a maleficent one.

  4. I thgt subscribing to Walt Disney I would get more than Cruella clips, I would actually see what's New etc… I've only seen clips of Cruella in MONTHS now … I'm out….
