  1. – The original is a classic, cinema history even. No need for a reboot/remake/ripoff
    – But this time it's SO DIVERSE holy shit! Except when it comes to the parents, the dad is still the moron. Shocking.
    – We have diverse burglars now because WHAMENS need representation in that field.
    – Half british for some reason.
    – The entire premise makes zero sense in a modern day setting with video doorbells, phones, and this "internet" thing I keep hearing so much about. A rich family like this one has ipads and laptops everywhere. Source: am rich.
    – We don't need HASHTAG RELATABLE reboots for current generations. Nobody asked for this.
    – Write original stories, this is a cashgrab and a ripoff. I hope it bombs hard.

  2. So…is this just a remake, or a pilot for a Home Alone series? Reboot could mean either one.

Also, the film looks like it's ripping off the 1990 film but with a British kid that clearly isn't Kevin McCallister, and the family traveling to Tokyo instead of Paris.

  3. This is THE most unnecessary remake EVER. I don't care if Kenan Thompson's in it! The answer is NO!!! This is like the misleading Home Alone 3 in that it's a different family! It's pretty much a remake OF the remake! This franchise should've been left alone after the fifth film.
