A vortex of sound
Revolving around
Dissolving you down to
The essence
Of secret desires
That midnight inspires
Music will flow
Candles will glow
Sweetest surrender
Pulling you under
The Eddy

The night will imbue
An indigo hue
The horn blowing blue
Through the evening
Lost in a dance
And caught in a trance
Under the sway
Riding the wave
Sweetest surrender
Pulling us under
The Eddy

A spiral staircase
Leading to that place
Deep in the night
Where everybody’s in the zone
And everybody’s tight
Everybody’s right

We’ve all learned to hide
What’s burning inside
A yearning denied
Just gets stronger
Here’s where we dare
To strip it all bare
Sit with your truth
Dark corner booth
Keep slipping slow
In the strong undertow of
The Eddy

  2. While I was up and down , as many people in that time, you – this "série" and the music – made me up. And I still listen to with happiness. It's the really right word… Thanks and thanks and thanks 🙂

  3. 1985 I walked into the Screen on the green in London to watch She’s Got to Have it and was blown away by the music score.
Spike was on the verge of something big that Hollywood didn’t want have…. I had to have some of it.

Years and years I had to wait as well as the world had to for Spike’s Mo’ Better Blues. Denzel stole the limelight with a moody style…
Another to die for musical jazzy blues.
Since then, not even Round Midnite nor Clint Eastwood as director of his jazzy renditions has come close until now…

The Eddy is all that and more!

Spike would have loved to get his teeth into this, and boy what a flick that would have been.
This musically does the business, but the plot has been done before. A little thin at times. But then, there has not been so much colour on Tv in decades. Amen to that🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
    Local actors done good.
I think I will watch a rerun of Idlewild Blues. For those who know, you know!

Truth be told, you cannot mix business with pleasure.
    Ah shucks!
    I’m hooked
