  1. Ahh yes another film written by an Irish-American whose family (probably) emigrated 100+ years ago to America so his ideas of modern Ireland are insanely stereotypical and offensive because he was raised on "tales of the sodden fields of green and golden barley where leprechauns roam freely amongst the simple folk who toil day and night on the land so that maybe someday an American can come and buy it off dem, trading dem an auld Rolls Royce and a crate of da black stuff! Awww how I long for dat to happen for my children's children ." Jamie Dornan…wtf…the green of the paycheck must have made his Celtic soul soar for him to have agreed to mangle his accent to sound like a Hollywood Irishman haha fuck sake.

  2. On so many levels!!! just wrong. First of all I thought it was set years ago, owing to her shawl and characters admiring an old vintage car as the finest they'd ever seen and of course the horrific accents. A mix of Far and Away, the Quiet man and Darby O'Gill….Seriously….is this what they really think Ireland is like! Only good thing is the scenery looks beautiful!

  3. This is what happens when you mix one part "Far and Away" with equal measure "The Field". Today (11.11.20), in Ireland – this movie is trending on social media and the radio stations are having a right auld giggle about just how bad this movie, and the 'Oirish Acccentss' are!

  4. Why are they showing Ireland as if its some poverty-stricken agrarian backwater when its the 3rd most developed country in the world on the Human development index, and 4th richest per capita GDP ???

  5. I don't remember the play being this sweeping romance. It was a lot more bantery like Moonstruck was which might also just be misleading trailers. Im a little worried that he'll just recreate the opera scene from that with ballet though
